Hi! My name is Timmy, I'm 18 years old and I'm from the UK. I love music, being outdoors, and learning about nature.
Having finished school earlier this year, I'm currently on my gap year before heading to the University of Edinburgh next year to study Biological Sciences. I'm currently exploring New Zealand, planning to work and volunteer on farms, conservation land, or whatever else takes fancy! I'm also looking to get involved in fun activities such as hiking, kayaking and scuba diving.Interests

More details about your skills
A huge part of my life since I was 6 years old, Scouts has taught me many invaluable skills ranging from fire building to navigation, outdoor cooking, and den building. Scouts has also helped to build my character to be resilient and adaptable, with a positive attitude to life. A great example of this was when I was part of the World Scout Jamboree in Korea in 2023, which was riddled by problems ranging from minor to catastrophic, but in which I managed to focus on the positives and keep up group morale.
I have experience in conservation volunteering through Tengah Island Conservation, Malaysia, whom I volunteered with for 12 days in 2022. This involved expeditions by boat and on foot to search for turtle nests, handling and measurement of turtle hatchlings, night time checks of the turtle hatchery, sorting marine debris, data management, and an educational talk to the public about sea turtles.
I partook in the Gold Duke of Edinburgh's Award scheme, which involved a 4-day expedition in the Yorkshire Dales, carrying all gear and tents, and hiking roughly 28km a day through steep terrain and stormy weather.
I believe my current job as a waiter in a local pub has helped to build my skills in working under pressure, multi-tasking, and my people skills in handling difficult situations.Age
