Description

Hiii, happiness comes to me in the form of community, learning and growing. If I feel like I’m in an environment that can provide all three, then I’m flourishing. I arrived from one year in Japan after cycling around and partaking in intersting workaways. A dream come true and now the next dream is being lived by exploring New Zeakand by van. Before, I spent 2 months living in a community in Tanzania learning from the locals knowledge on their permaculture, construction and conservation methods. Since May 23’ I lived in a community in Greece learning gardening, construction and delivering and participating in workshops in the community on a range of topics based on a fairer and more open society. In Japan I worked in conservation with Giant japanese Salamanders, Taking care of an old Japanese guesthouse and worked the winter season in a ski lodge. I would love to tap into some creative elements here, meet kind and interesting people, spend time in nature and have the space to play with my imagination and inner child.

I am a fully qualified social carer with a bachelors degree in social care . Firstly, I began working with kids and adults with autism and Down syndrome in a centre in Malta and the last 5 years I have worked full time with homeless people and refugees catering to their particular needs around mental health, drug addiction, housing and taking care of the homeless hostel that provides them emergency accommodation such as registration, health & safety, cleaning, making beds and cooking. The job is different everyday and has been an intense and rewarding experience.

Originally, I had completed a degree in Environmental Science and have been an environmental educator for kids coming from disadvantaged areas. Completing nature based workshops and Forest school classes that allow kids and teenagers to flourish in an outdoor setting.
I’m a very empathetic and caring person who takes this into their work. I am quick to learn and desire very much to continue gaining knowledge.

I’ve lived in different eco communities and gathered some skills in manual work, gardening, farming, cooking for large groups, running events and workshops.
