I'm a Swiss artist currently living in Belgium. I make comics and illustrations, and I’m using most of my free time focusing on my art, but I’m also happy to hang out with people and share stories and experiences.

My volunteering experience so far has been a beautiful one, with both hosts and volunteers sharing their knowledge with me. I’ve rediscovered and learnt many things I’d like to share in return with other people, and be of as much help as I can during my stays. I learn fast and have a wide range of interests; I’m reliable, clean, pretty laid back and I get along with most people.
Among my interests there’s definitely languages; I’d love to learn as many as I can, and in return I’d be happy to teach the ones I know!

I’m pretty handy, and these are skills I could offer as a volunteer:
-cooking: I've worked in a vegan restaurant, I've cooked and assisted with cooking vegetarian meals for groups, I've made conserves (tomato sauce, jams, chutney) and dried herbs and fruit;
-gardening and farming: preparing beds (shaping, feeding and mulching), weeding, harvesting, pruning, general land maintenance, planting, transplanting, grafting;
-wood stacking and processing, and wood peeling;
-making compost;
-I took care of chickens and usually get along with animals;
-building fences and tomato structures with canes;
-maintenance of watering system (acequia/avlaki);
-basic knowledge of wood work and power tools such as drill/screwdriver, router, sanding machine, chopping machine;
-basic carpentry skills;
-painting, staining and varnishing

Theo stayed at the farm for a month. During this time he helped with harvesting, washing and packing of the vegetables, bed preparation, digging trenches for irrigation, weeding, etc. He took on any task without hesitation. Theo is a reliable, friendly and calm person, and he got on well with the other volunteers. I recommend him as a workawayer!
