Description

Hi! We are Nadia and Ignas, a 22 year old couple slow travelling long term and looking for a place where we can stay for a while, help out, and be part of a calm daily routine.

We both come from hospitality, so we are used to structured days and clear responsibilities. Nadia has several years of café experience in Norway as a barista, and Ignas has worked as a chef for years. We are very comfortable in the kitchen and genuinely enjoy helping with breakfasts, guest meals, prep, dishes, and keeping the kitchen clean and organised!

We are also more than happy to help with the practical daily tasks that keep a place running well, like cleaning, making beds, organising, gardening, painting, and simple maintenance. We work best when tasks and expectations are clear from the start, and we really appreciate a defined schedule. That helps us be consistent, efficient, and actually useful for you.

Animals are a big plus for us. We are warm, gentle, attentive, and happy to help with feeding, walking, and whatever is needed. We've both grown up around lots of animals, and they hold a truly special place in our hearts

Nadia:
I have several years of experience working in cafés in Norway as a barista, so I am used to responsibility, routines, cleaning, food prep, and being friendly and patient with people all day. I am very comfortable keeping spaces tidy, helping with daily household tasks, making beds, laundry, and generally keeping things organised.

I come from a big family and have many younger siblings and cousins, so I am very used to being around children. I am patient, calm, and happy to help with things like playing, simple meals, homework time, or just being an extra adult around the house.

I also have a media background and can help with photos of your place, simple social media, or small things like menus or signs if that is useful.

Ignas:
I have worked as a chef for several years and feel very at home in the kitchen. I can help with food prep, cooking for families or groups, breakfast, baking basics, dishes, and keeping the kitchen clean and organised.

I also enjoy practical work like gardening, painting, basic maintenance, and outdoor tasks.

I also come from a large family and am used to being around children of different ages. I am calm, responsible, and happy to help where needed.

Both of us
We are very comfortable around animals and genuinely love being with them. Feeding, walking, cleaning, and spending time with pets or farm animals is something we enjoy and take seriously.

We are good with routine tasks like cleaning rooms, preparing guest spaces, organising storage, and helping with the everyday work that keeps a home or place running smoothly.

We learn new tasks quickly and prefer to be shown the routine once so we can then do it independently and consistently.

What else ...

In our free time we are very creative but also quite calm people. Ignas loves cooking and making music, so you will often find him experimenting in the kitchen or working on small music ideas. Nadia loves drawing, photography, baking, and anything that involves animals.

We enjoy simple, cozy things like going for walks, listening to music, playing card or board games, and having relaxed evenings at home. We really like being around children and animals and are always happy to play, help with homework, bake something together, or just be an extra pair of hands in everyday family life.

Because we have both worked in hospitality for years, we are very used to living with other people and being considerate. We naturally clean up after ourselves, keep shared spaces tidy, and respect house routines and quiet time.

We do smoke, but always outside and we are very respectful about it.

For us, Workaway is not just about exchanging work for a place to stay. We genuinely like getting to know people, sharing meals, learning how life works in different places, and feeling part of a home for a while.
