Hi there, Hyggelig å møte deg and thank you for taking the time to read my profile :)

My name is Juliette, I grew up in France and for the last decade I worked as an opera singer, living a very artistic and exciting life, performing and traveling around the world. A couple of years ago, I felt the need to slow down and build a life that feels more grounded and meaningful. I went back to university and became a therapist and an intimacy coordinator. Because I truly enjoy taking care of my patients, I recently decided to go back to university and study physiotherapy, a path that allows me to combine my interest in the (singing) body, mental and physical health, and helping others.

As I hope to study in northern Norway, I am currently learning Norwegian and would love to spend time discovering everyday life there among locals. I chose Workaway because I enjoy meeting people, sharing stories, and experiencing places through the people who live there.

Over the years, alongside my artistic work and studies, I’ve had many small jobs that I loved: tour guide, au pair, elderly companionship, babysitting, and performing opera for schools and retirement homes. I really enjoy being around people of all generations.

I grew up helping my father make olive oil and build things around the house, so I’m quite practical and enjoy working with my hands. I love gardening, being in nature, cooking, and creating a warm home atmosphere.

People usually describe me as warm, curious, and thoughtful. I’m tidy, respectful of the spaces I live in, and easy to live with. I don’t smoke, don’t use drugs, and only drink alcohol occasionally. I’m always happy to help with daily tasks and bring positive energy to the house.

I always bring a positive attitude to any project I join. My background includes:

- Intergenerational Living: I've lived for several years in intergenerational shared housing with elderly people (I particularly enjoy the company of people who have life stories to share!)
- Childcare: I worked as an Au Pair when I was younger, gaining experience with children of various ages
- Home Management: I enjoy gardening, cooking, housekeeping, and making small repairs
- Creative Skills: I love painting, DIYing and various creative projects
- Teaching: I'm patient and have a teaching spirit - I can share my academic, computer, therapeutic, and linguistic skills with you

I'm a very independent and self-taught person who firmly believes there's nothing that can't be learned! I'm comfortable working independently but also thrive in collaborative environments. I'm adaptable, resourceful, and always seek solutions rather than dwelling on problems.
