Buen día,
Hi, we are Tessa (39) and Sebastiaan (40) from the Netherlands, travelling with our rescue dog Toffee and looking for some hands-on, nature-based Spanish experience. We love practical work, learning new skills and helping bring projects to life.
Over the past years we renovated much of our 1930s house ourselves and helped friends and family with renovations. During that process we discovered how much we enjoy restoring and creating things.
We make a good team when it comes to projects. Sebastiaan enjoys the more structural or rougher work, while Tessa likes the precise finishing side: painting, repairing, sanding and making things look good again. In recent months, Sebastiaan has also gained experience working on several professional house-building projects, learning more about structural construction.
We love Spain, nature and the slower rhythm of outdoor life. Being outside, building things, spending time around animals (especially goats and donkeys – Tessa) and drinking good coffee are some of the simple things we enjoy most.
Professionally our backgrounds are quite different. Tessa worked in HR, career coaching and project coordination. Sebastiaan worked for many years as a legal professional and later as a consultant - CISO (Chief information security officer).
After years of busy professional lives, we felt it was time to pause and rethink the kind of life we want to build. For us that means spending more time outdoors, contributing to meaningful projects and learning along the way. We are curious and enthusiastic people who enjoy laughter, good company and the simple pleasures of life.

What else ...
We travel with our rescue dog, Toffee, a 6-year-old street dog from Greece. She is sweet, calm, and quite large. She gets along well with other dogs, but can be a bit nervous around children and does not do well with cats.
We are friendly, enthusiastic and curious people who enjoy meeting new people and learning about different experiences and lifestyles. We are flexible with locations and dates, and happy to adapt to the needs of the project.
