I am a mature and honest traveller that previously worked for local government as a supervisor in Canada for 15 years. I want to see and experience as many parts of the world, and the people and culture within, as possible. I do not mind cleaning and enjoy gardening, yard work, renovations, and love animals of any kind. Part of my life was spent on farms, and I am comfortable with outside work. I spent time growing up on a farm and like to care for animals. I worked as a government supervisor for many years and I am educated, and now enjoy sharing my knowledge. I recently gained additional experience managing a hostel and have been a part time online English teacher. I own rental houses and often do my own renovations or coordinate trades people/businesses to do them. I love being outside camping and exploring the mountains, and I camped across Canada in a small VW Golf car. I believe in volunteering to helps others and give back to the community. I enjoy assisting seniors, caring for children, or simplymeeting new people in a positive way to bring some joy to their day.

Very good Workaway experience. The manager Val and on-site board member Dirk were great to visit with, the accommodations were excellent and the workload reasonable. I helped prepare garlic for drying, worked in the garden, did some cleaning and drove Dirk to town. Recommend to future workawayers.

I think this was one of the best Workaway experiences I could ever have imagined. The animals, the location, the beautiful home, and the kindest most authentic host a person could ever hope to meet.
