Hi! I’m Sylvia. I’m a TEFL certified English language teacher from the United States. At the moment, I’m currently living and working in Valencia, Spain.

Last spring I came across a great opportunity here in Spain, and at the time I was feeling dissatisfied in my career in administration, so it felt like the perfect time to push myself outside of my comfort zone and try something new. I officially moved to Spain October 2023, and at first it took me some time to get adjusted, but since then I’ve grown to love my adopted home.

Now that I feel more settled, I’m hoping to travel and engage in more cultural and language exchanges. I love meeting new people and sharing food and conversation. I also love hiking, photography, and writing poetry.

I am an English language teacher, and I’m happy to facilitate conversations in English for any English learners.

Also, I love working with my hands, I have experience with gardening and DIY projects like painting, installing a backsplash, etc. I also love learning new skills, and I’m open to instruction if I’m asked to do something I’ve never done before. I consider myself adaptable and a good team player.
