Hi! :)

My name is Sven, 31 years young, dreaming about creating one day a little ecosystem on our amazing planet and give some inspiration back to society, that I have been lucky to receive over the last decade. The idea of cooperation and inclusivity, fair conditions for everyone and rather doing than promising, is what I try to live and what I want to experience.

Hopefully we will have jam sessions together, philosophizing about Permaculture, Paleontology or Quantum Physics, cycle and go hiking for hours, play chess or Ping-Pong and hopefully enjoy some epic barbecues that we will prepare for the group!

I am always up for adventures, sports and social activities, but I like as well sometimes to chill by myself and to be independent – life is extra sweet with the extra portion of contrast. I am proud to consider myself ever since as a hardworking person, with a get-the-job done attitude, and I like to feel a part of something and connect while traveling. To see results and progress is very satisfying on a volunteer.

I have experience in constructing (I started at the age of 14 with traditional constructing in Germany, but I worked later as well with ecological materials f.e bamboo, wood, clay). I learned about permaculture principles & gained an agricultural understanding, weeding with machines, a bit of tree pruning, tree planting, seeding, transplanting, mulching, chainsawing (just with appropriate protection), landscaping, painting, animal care, maintenance of housing structures, taking care of tourists, hotel reception, language teaching, and more!

Professionally speaking; I am specialist for food technology and I can help to process and conserve food on small or larger scale, brainstorm about the given possibilities to create, commercialize, brand and pack your products. What I love to do, but more than that – I cook since 17 years, you can tell me what you would love to eat, and I will try to prepare it!

On the other hand, I am very interested in everything involving permaculture design, landscaping, soil treatments and regeneration, composting, agroforestry & forest management, water management & creating ponds, eco construction, hydroponic systems, recycling, low tech approaches etc. It is clear for me that the workflow is guided by the demand of the moment and that all tasks will be fulfilled with diligence, no matter what it is. But I want to point out that I am looking specifically for improving my permaculture and gardening skills, and welcome diverse topics to work on.

After 4 years of living in Lisbon, I am more than ready, for some countryside and countryside work, for making new friends, beautiful sunsets and bonfires, to help you realize your projects and find some peace in nature.

Constructing → I started at the age of 14 with traditional constructing in Germany, but I build as well with ecological materials f.e bamboo, wood, clay / Organic Isolation of wooden or clay walls / working surfaces with minerals / creating paint / building walls etc / building with concrete / maintenance of housing structures

Application of permaculture principles, agricultural tasks & gardening → weeding with machines / bit of tree pruning (olives, figs, cherries), tree planting, seeding, transplanting, mulching, landscaping & designing terraces and orchards, harvesting, soil treatment, composting

The farm life’s activities → chainsawing (just with appropriate protection), wood cutting and storing, animal care, general maintenance and easy carpentry jobs, etc.

Tourism → taking care of tourists, hotel reception, language teaching, and more!

Professionally speaking → I am specialist for food technology and I can help to process and conserve food on small or larger scale, what I love to do, same as cooking in general. I cook since 17 years, you can tell me what you want to eat, and I will give my best to prepare the best dish of it that you had. I know as well quite a lot about efficiently cleaning on large scales, this can save tons of time on not too pleasant tasks :)
