Hi! :)

My name is Sven, 31 years young, dreaming about creating one day a little ecosystem on our amazing planet and give some inspiration back to society, that I have been lucky to receive over the last decade. The idea of cooperation and inclusivness, fair conditions for everyone and rather doing than promising, is what I try to live and what I want to experience.

Hopefully we will have jam sessions together, philosophizing about Permaculture, Paleontology or Quantum Physics, cycle and go hiking, playing chess or Ping-Pong and hopefully enjoy some epic BBQs that we will prepare for the group!

I am always up for adventures, sports and social activities, but I like as well sometimes to chill by myself and to be independent – life is extra sweet with the right portion of contrast. I am proud to consider myself ever since as a hardworking person, with a get-the-job done attitude, and I like to feel being a part of something and connect while traveling. To see results and progress is very satisfying on a volunteer.

I have experience in construction (I started at the age of 14 with mineral insulating, sanding, painting and plastering in Germany, but I worked later as well with ecological materials f.e bamboo, wood, cob), I like to do basic carpentry work and improve my skills there. I learned about permaculture principles & gained an agricultural understanding and experiences such as; weeding, clearing & trimming, a bit of tree pruning (which I would love to improve on), tree planting, seeding, transplanting, mulching, chainsawing (just with appropriate protection), raising beds, animal care, setting up irrigation lines and watering, and more!

Professionally speaking; I am specialist for food technology and I can help to process and conserve food on small or larger scale, brainstorm about the given possibilities to create, commercialize, brand and pack your products. What I like to do, but where a love and obsession evolved: I cook since almost 20 years, you can tell me what you would love to eat, and I will try to prepare it!

On the other hand, I am very interested in everything involving permaculture design, landscaping, soil treatments and regeneration, composting, agroforestry & forest management, water management, creating ponds, eco construction, hydroponic systems, recycling, low tech approaches etc. It is clear for me that the workflow is guided by the demand of the moment and that all tasks will be fulfilled with diligence, no matter what it is. I would love to specifically improve my permaculture and gardening skills, and welcome diverse topics to work on.

After 4 years of living in Lisbon, I am more than ready, for some countryside and countryside work, for making new friends, beautiful sunsets and bonfires, to help you realize your projects and find peace in nature.
