  • Description

    Hi all fellow workawayers,

To my friends I am Susi. Not like we don't appreciate the beautiful Hungarian language with its letter "zs", but I enjoy simplicity. Nevertheless I would gladly teach some of my mother tongue, should anyone be interested in it.

I am a dreamer, and a carer. I have something eternally childish in me, although as much as I can judge it I am reliable and essentially responsible. I struggle "doing" professions. I simply try doing what I'd intuitively be doing. Living this life in appreciation and awe, and infinite curiosity, be there for myself as well as for others while truly experiencing to the core every bit of it..

As a way of navigating within society, I have mostly been in the healthcare field, which I feel absolutely at ease with. I mainly work with the elderly, even though I also adore the fresh little energetic earthlings. I am now digging deeper in the area of palliative care, and somewhat have a passion and calling for those experiencing that certain stage, some form of ending.

Beyond all this, there's an ever awake, adventurous side of my nature, which is longing for the elements and a much closer connection with all rooting and blooming, feathery and furry creations. This passion never stops pulsing in me. Long ago I graduated in nature conservation, and other than a few months as an intern I have never really had a profound chance to engage more in this field, but throughout the years I gained some understanding on our biodiversity and how we could live more harmoniously. I deeply believe in environmental education, and find it super important to start/keep planting seeds in the youngest of our communities.

As I have genuine appreciation for almost all living beings, from a single line of grass to our few gorgeous giant mammals, I am truly driven to actively support and protect their existence/habitat. Partly for this reason I became a qualified veterinary nurse, and worked in a little surgery for a year, until the call for more roaming became stronger again. When I'm given a chance I'll be more than happy to contribute with this experience.

I have always been into movement. That's my type of art. I danced when I was young, rolled on skates, bicycles, swam like a fish, skipped with ropes, climbed rocks and trees. Although I am still open to all sorts of movements, I am more slow pace now, and mostly settled with yoga. I see it as a way of life, which I have been aiming to follow. I am "low key active" when it comes to asana practice, but always aiming to link with the yamas and niyamas, and focus more on my breathing.

In this rather short time since I am doing life I had two great experience, which I feel mentioning/love to talk about. Both of them relatively humble, yet to me utterly significant. One time while I was volunteering over in Greece, I was on an abandoned shore of Crete, and under the moonlit sky a huge sea turtle was making her way out of the sea to lay her eggs. While lucky me just happened to be there, effortlessly witnessing it.

Another time - as mainstream as it may be - I walked the Camino pilgrimage. I knew it is popular, I knew it is doable for many, and since it was fairly close I didn't have to sacrifice a whole lot to get onto it, but for me it was still a spectacular achievement, and a very transforming, resetting, healing experience. If I could, I would happily live my life there, connected deeply, wandering daily, sharing and learning with all other peregrinos around me, whether actively or passively, Freely. It gave me the sensation what life actually should be.

I wanted you to know these about me, but mind you, usually - specially in early days - I don't speak this much!
So long story short, I just look forward to meet you, and hope we will exchange all good experiences, building more and more healthy connections. (●'◡'●)

  • What else ...

My main "hobby" really is nature appreciation. Other than that, I adore a good book, enjoy hearing about all sorts of life experiences, and see life itself as an art. Even if one is not an artist per se, in everything we do, be it breathing, I see creation and beauty.

I've danced for 7 years when I was younger, and it remained something I'm always happy to do. Alongside with all sorts of sports and games (preferably outdoors). As for board games, I am better at quick adrenalin boosters (such as spot it or panic lab), rather than long, strategic ones.

My great grandmother was a tailor, and it has always been a desire of mine to learn working with textiles and learn to create clothes from different fabric and materials. In general, handcrafts always fascinated me, but never really got around the practice on a profound level. I am eager to boost any kind of DIY skills.
