Hi, I am Strahil, born in Bulgarian but spent most of my life in Canada.

I'm a carpenter but I have experience in installation, renovation, construction and demolition as well as some other general work. I like working with my hands and I'm comfortable with using power tools or machines. I prefer active, outdoor work and I'm not afraid of a bit of rain and getting dirty.

In my free time I like being out in nature, hiking, climbing, swimming or just taking photos and videos. Photography and filming are a big passion of mine so I would love to help with that, if there's any need for it.

I am happy when I'm helping people and improving my environment. Making a positive impact on people's lives, being helpful and useful, and leading by example are the most important qualities to me.

After living in the big city most of my life, I discovered that it's not for me. I want a life that is more natural and in touch with nature. I love animals and want to be around them more. Horses are my favourite animal and I would love an opportunity to learn about them.

I'm looking for a longterm workaway. Ideally a place with lots of animals. I'd like to work mainly with horses and learn about them but also interested in cattle and sheep. A place that will allow me to continue practising my carpentry skills or other handy work. And access to a lot of beautiful nature around. I'd like to learn about life on a ranch and be a part of a family and community.


Another workaway I'm interested in doing is something that involves sailing or working on a boat. I sailed on a crab fishing boat last year and it was a lot of fun.

I live a healthy lifestyle. I don’t drink, smoke or eat processed foods. I keep fairly active.

I love learning new things and have so many interests, that it's hard to know where to start.
Currently interested in:
Blacksmithing, stone masonry, sculpting and carving, house and boat building.
Hunting and fishing
Life at a ranch and animal care
Tending to horses and riding
Beekeeping
Boating and sailing
Doing expeditions
I also bought a bagpipe that I'd like to learn to play.

I like reading about history and philosophy. I also enjoy fantasy books.

I travel a lot, but lately I just want to settle down for a while.
