New on Workaway. We're MSc students in Hungary
Description
Hi there! I'm a scholarship student currently studying in Hungary, originally from Laos a country rich in natural beauty and a peaceful, self-sufficient lifestyle. I’ve always been drawn to experiences that allow me to connect with people, learn new things, and explore different ways of living. I enjoy a balance of creative and active hobbies playing badminton, video games, listening to music, and playing it too! I’ve played guitar and piano over the years, and I also like to express myself through art. I’m a bit of a tech geek and naturally curious, always eager to learn something new. While people may see me as quiet at first, I tend to open up once I get comfortable.
I’ve heard so many wonderful things about the beauty of European natural landscape, especially its peaceful atmosphere. It reminds me a lot of home, and I’d love the chance to experience it like a local taking time to truly appreciate the scenery, lifestyle, and community. Through Workaway, I hope to find meaningful experiences where I can contribute, learn, and grow. Although I’m new to Workaway, I’ve previously taken part in a volunteering project where we helped children in rural schools learn English. It was a fulfilling and eye-opening experience that deepened my appreciation for education and community service. I'm responsible, adaptable, and always willing to lend a hand whether it’s helping around the house, with creative projects, or with tech-related tasks.
I genuinely believe that kindness goes a long way when you treat others with warmth and respect, that energy is often returned in the most beautiful ways. I’m looking forward to connecting with hosts who value cultural exchange, open-mindedness, and a love for nature and peaceful living.Interests

More details about your skills
We are two Master’s students currently studying Marketing in Hungary. We speak English and Thai fluently, and our mother tongue is Lao. Coming from Laos, we deeply value community, simplicity, and a lifestyle close to nature. We love doing things together, especially cooking! One of our favorite routines is preparing meals and sharing them with friends in our dormitory. It’s a small but meaningful way for us to bring people together, and it always reminds us of home.
We’re practical, hands-on people. Back home, we were used to solving small household issues on our own like fixing a clogged toilet or maintaining shared spaces before calling for help. We’re comfortable handling day-to-day tasks and don’t mind getting our hands a little dirty. We also have experience working in a production factory, so we’re used to repetitive tasks and maintaining focus and efficiency. As animal lovers, we also enjoy spending time with pets. We both had dogs back in Laos and genuinely miss the joy and companionship they brought to our lives. Taking care of animals is something we’re naturally good at and love doing.Age

What else ...
In our free time, we enjoy playing board games like UNO, Monopoly, and Jenga anything that brings people together and adds a bit of fun to the day. We also like listening to music, exploring new recipes, and going on walks in nature. Whether it's a calm evening cooking a shared meal or spending time with animals, we appreciate the simplicity. We're both open-minded, friendly, and enjoy learning about different cultures and ways of living.
