Hello hello! My name is Soraya, I’m 30 years old and, surprise surprise, I have just left my corporate job in the hopes of creating a life more aligned with my values and lifestyle. Over the past 8 years, I’ve had the opportunity to work and study in 7 countries across Europe, Asia, and Latin America, and I hope to continue having new meaningful experiences connecting with local communities, learning new skills and seeing what impact I can have with my own, and overall opening up my world to new ways of living. I usually travel alone but am always keen on immersing myself in whatever community I find myself in, and contributing actively to the projects I join.
In my free time I love to read, go for a run or to the gym, dance salsa/bachata, do yoga, play with dogs, and go for coffee walks.

My work experience is in sales, project management, and consulting, particularly in the tech and payments industries. I am very comfortable in customer-facing and social roles, I can work well alone or in teams, I am very organized and manage my time well, and have coordinated long term projects with multiple stakeholders. I also have previous volunteering experience teaching English, accompanying tour groups to translate content in different languages, working reception at hotels, helping with cooking preparation and meal service in restaurants, housesitting and cat/dogsitting, and working on a farm.
