Description
Hello!
We are Håkon and Emilie, an adventurous family from Norway, along with our curious two-year-old son, Skage. We love exploring new places and connecting with people from all parts of the world. Our next big adventure is taking us to Australia, where Emilie will be working at universities in Tasmania and Perth as part of her Ph.D. research in outdoor education.
Back home in Norway, Skage and I spend our days outdoors—tending to our vegetable garden, playing with neighbors, and cultivating a love for nature. Although I’m a psychologist by profession, I’ve devoted the past year to raising Skage and growing all kinds of vegetables, fruits, and trees suitable for the Norwegian climate. I recently completed building a 40 m² greenhouse and a Walipini (underground greenhouse) as well as making a lot of stone based paths winding through all of our vegetables, fruits and trees.
Our greatest joy is working outside and meeting new people. Over the past ten years, we’ve traveled the world together, always seeking meaningful connections and hands-on experiences. As we embark on this new chapter in Australia, we hope to become part of a welcoming family or community where we can continue our outdoor passions, share our skills, and learn from others.

Oie passion for growing vegetables and fruit has always brought me immense joy and excitement. After participating in community-supported agriculture projects, we were inspired to transform our three-acre property into a lush oasis of fruit and vegetables. We approach every season with patience and hard work, eager to nurture our land and learn from nature. Skage, our wonderfully social and curious little companion, is always by our side—either playing nearby or riding along in the carrier as we work together in the garden. His enthusiasm for exploring everything and everyone makes our gardening adventures even more special.
Emilie is a great great chef(her father is a real chef). She has a lot of experience making meals for all occasions and with her creative mind she is able to work out the most special dishes from all over the world😋
