Description
Hello world! We have made the big decision to step away from work, and spend more time exploring new places, meeting new people, and experiencing different culture. We have both worked in construction engineering and Sian has also worked as a Children's nurse in the UK . We live in a small town in England having left London to start a family 30 years ago. We have 3 grown up children and a grandson. Our passion for travel started 9 years ago when we had the opportunity to travel around the world for 6 months, since then we have been desperate to get out there again.
We are very sociable and want to hear other peoples stories, help them to learn English and teach us Spanish. We are intrepid motor cycle riders and have travelled across Europe lots of times. Sian enjoys gardening, cycling and running and plays the violin. Doug is a keen DIYer, plays guitar in a band and enjoys running and pickle ball. We both enjoy camping, kayaking, and walking in the country, music festivals and volunteering for the local Wildlife Trust and the National Trust.
Our motivation for travelling is centred on helping to conserve our natural world, be part of the solution and have fun.Interests

Sian's experience and skills.
My skills and experience are varied! As a Mother of three, Grandmother of one and a Children's Nurse, I have had a lot of experience with the caring and wellbeing of children. I am a keen gardener and enjoy working on our small plot of land nurturing both plants and vegetables. We have spent the past 7 years renovating our house and this have given me the opportunity to learn new skills in decorating, tiling, plaster boarding and landscaping. I enjoy cooking, preferably vegetarian food but happy to cook meat based recipes for others. My own mother taught me to sew when I was a child and I have used this skill to make clothes, curtains and cushions!
I have always worked directly with the public and have good conversational skills and natural willingness to please others. A have a licence to drive a car and ride a motorcycle.

We spent a week with Wade and Marley working on a building repair and a few days hosting for him while he got his car fixed. The accommodation was spacious we it's own shower room and basic cooking facilities. The dock was a great place to chill and watch the world go by. We had such a great time which we will remember forever. We were… read more
