Hi, I'm Shev!

I am a scuba diving instructor and travel writer with the immense privilege of being location independent.

I left my home country of Canada in 2021 for a 3-month internship in Oaxaca, Mexico. I was hooked and have been traveling and diving ever since! I stayed 2 years in Mexico, 1 year in Honduras, and the rest of the time I travel.

I work online and travel for a boutique dive travel company. I work about 4-6 hours a day online managing emails, the website, and taking some video calls. When I am not leading dive trips, I look for places I can lay low and work on my own website in addition to my work.

I love travelling, diving, cycling, swimming, and just being near the ocean. I spend a lot of my time working on my various websites, but try to schedule time for fun as much as possible!

I am an extrovert and love interacting with people in a genuine way. I love to volunteer for work away because it helps me find my balance of quiet time to focus on my work, and feed my need for human connection.

I have lived in Central America for 4 years now, working with people from Mexico, South America, Honduras, and Spain. I have picked up some slang and nuances from all around, but I am contantly improving! I was once conversational in French, but I will need some practice to catch up.
