What motivates me and brings me happiness? I suppose I'm generally motivated by new experiences. I like jumping into the unknown to shake thinks up a bit. As for happiness, so many things bring me this; listening to music, playing music, sunshine, food, smiling people, animals, seeing friends, dancing, people watching, walking through a crowded city at night, the outdoors, the beach when it's quiet. I guess these things generally bring everyone happiness, me included!

I have a diverse history of work experience. Starting from when I was 16, I used to work during the summer holidays with a team of electricians on construction sites. I did this for about 4 years. I've always been good with my hands. My best subject in secondary school was woodworking and I went on to be an arts and crafts woodworking instructor at a summer camp in upstate New York in the USA for one summer. I've always enjoyed gardening too. When I was at home in Ireland, I would go to my grandparent's house and help out with the lawn, the flowers, the hedges, the weeds, pretty much everything. I've also got a decent bit of painting experience having repainted the family home in Ireland several times and painting various things for my grandparents over the years too. I've also got a university degree in software engineering and have recently completed a master's degree in UX Design.

I've done two workaways before back in 2023 and I enjoyed them both so much. I can feel the craving to do another one!

What else ...

I love to play guitar. Since I don't sing, I like to learn fingerstyle arrangements of songs and I've recently started trying to compose some of my own little tunes. I love stories, in any capacity; books, documentaries, movies, TV shows, verbal, audio. I enjoy talking to people but I also enjoy my own space from time to time. There are probably so many more things I could list here that I'm forgetting right now but c'est bon!

One other thing worth mentioning, I have a sleep disorder Narcolepsy. It causes me to suddenly get quite sleepy sometimes. I can manage it quite well though by taking a nap usually after lunch for about an hour. This recharges me for the rest of the day :)
