What Motivates Me
Connecting with people from diverse cultures motivates me. I thrive on learning new skills, especially cooking. For the past six years, I've studied Japanese, driven by a passion to increase fluency while immersing myself in Japan’s culture. Learning the language will help me connect more deeply compared to those who don't speak it.

What Brings Me Happiness
Nature brings me joy—hiking, swimming, and pushing my body to its limits while striving for self-improvement. I find happiness in achievement. As a gymnastics teacher, seeing students master new skills makes me happy, reflecting our shared dedication. Meeting new people and engaging in conversations that broaden my worldview also brings me immense satisfaction.

I studied Japanese in high school for 6 years and am now in Japan for 1 year to learn as much Japanese as possible. I also have experience tutoring English (to natives), and I believe I will be adequate at teaching English as a second language. Additionally, I have experience teaching gymnastics to 5 to 12-year-olds, and I hope some of these skills will translate.

Culinary Expertise: I have extensive experience as a Baker/Cook, having managed bakery operations at The Wye General and Café. I ensured the timely preparation and availability of a variety of pastries and cakes daily, maintained adequate stock levels, and monitored inventory.
Customer Service: In addition to my culinary background, I have front-of-house experience, interacting with customers, taking orders, and ensuring a positive dining experience. My strong communication skills and friendly demeanour make me adept at providing excellent customer service.
Teaching and Coaching: As a Gymnastics Coach, I instructed and entertained children, focusing on safety and fun. I managed class dynamics, resolved conflicts, and maintained open communication with student’s parents. These experiences have equipped me with strong interpersonal skills, the ability to create a positive and inclusive atmosphere, and the capability to assist with childcare and educational activities in family settings.
Safety and Lifesaving: My volunteer work as a Water Safety and Lifesaver involved ensuring the safety of beachgoers, providing emergency response, and educating the public on water safety protocols.
