Helloo!

My name is Sara, and currently I'm in my second year of psychology at the University of Barcelona, and I like to combine my studies with volunteering and traveling around the world.

I've traveled and volunteered in different countries, such as Costa Rica, Panama, Brazil, and the Dominican Republic. During these experiences, I worked in hostels and other projects, taking part in daily tasks, which helped me learn how to adapt to new environments and ways of living.

I'm a very positive and curious person who enjoys being in dynamic environments and learning from different cultures. I'm usually comfortable working in a team, doing physical tasks, and taking responsibility when needed because I'm also very independent. It's also easy for me to adapt to new situations, as I'm a very flexible person.

I have experience in hospitality, mainly through hostel volunteering and kitchen assistance, as well as cleaning and housekeeping, including some work in a school environment. I also worked as a kitchen assistant in a take-away pizza restaurant.

I've also done some childcare and educational support work, which I really enjoyed.

I'm a very creative person, I like photography, and I'm comfortable with social media and basic content creation. I enjoy capturing moments from trips and helping projects share what they do in a simple way.

In sum, I really like meeting new people, being part of community environments, and taking part in projects that involve nature, travel, and cultural exchange.

I have experience in hospitality from volunteering in hostels in Panama (Tesoro Escondido Ecolodge) and the Dominican Republic (El Triangulo), where I used to help with the receptionist (check-ins and check-outs), kitchen tasks, food preparation (as well as some cocktails ans juices), cleaning, and general daily support. That's why I'm used to working in shared spaces and being part of a team where everyone helps out with different things.

I also worked as a kitchen assistant in take-away pizza restaurant, which gave me experience in a fast-paced environment and taught me how to stay organized and focused during busy shifts.

In Costa Rica I took part in a volunteering project where I helped with coconut and banana plantation work, gardening, and some basic construction tasks. It was very hands-on and outdoor work, which I really enjoyed, despite the warm days.

I also have experience in cleaning and housekeeping from working in a school as a cleaning lady, where I had to keep the spaces clean and organized.

On top of that, I have done childcare and educational support, including tutoring and working as a camp monitor with children, which helped me develop patience and communication skills. I also have 2 siblings, and I'm used to babysitting them.

I also enjoy photography, and I can help with social media or simple content creation when needed.

In sum, I'm a quite adaptable person, and I feel comfortable working with different types of people and in different environments.

I'm also comfortable around animals and I enjoy taking care of them. I have a dog, so I am used to being responsible with animals and I like being around them.

In my free time I enjoy reading, cooking, listening to music, drawing, doing sports and spending time outdoors. I really like being in nature, exploring new places and staying active. But above all I love sunsets, good food and meaningful conversations with people. I like meeting others, sharing experiences and learning from different life stories :)
