Hi

I love the outdoors and regularly find different walks to explore in my local area and the Lake District. I am an animal lover and have a passion for horses and an interest in natural horsemanship methods. I have completed three successful workaways.. helping with horses including routine care, yard work, help retraining - backing youngsters and exercising on a hunt and racing yard in the UK although my preference is always to work with horses in a more natural environment. I have also helped with farm work, gardening and house clearing, cleaning and moving. I am a confident driver and have pulled horseboxes and ridden quads for farm work pulling trailers and harrows.

I enjoy sports like swimming and walking to keep fit, yoga pilates and the indoor climbing wall. I would like to try new sports and also have an interest in meditation and alternatve therapies.

NOTE since my last travels I have had some problems with my health causing flare ups of pain and stiffness and am experimenting with medication to manage this. I want to be completely transparent as I have lost some strength compared to how I was before mainly because during this process I have had difficulty maintining my fitness. However, i am almost recovered and still very concientious and work orientated. for example I could still paint my entire house ready for sale by myself and will always have a strong work ethic. Pain-stiffness is not always there but more acute with sendentary positions and desk work or long hours driving. Movement really is key so the more active I am the better as long as its paced and I can take breaks if needed. I am taking this time out to travel, to work, to get my fitness and strength back. Hopfully to get some sun and practice my Spanish .After a challenging year I really would like to get back in nature working outside to heal body and soul xx I will not be a burden to anyone and I can assure any host that I will complete all tasks well and with positivity. An ideal placement will be where there can be some flexibility if needed and variety in tasks.

I had spent many years working in an office environment in customer care, administration and finance then I studied and did teaching assistant for a year. In the future I want to travel and help others to learn English. More recently I gained a degree in English language and linguistics and a CELTA to.teach English to.foreign leaners. I have also been learning Spanish, which is now at intermediate level and I have been a online english teacher for a voluntary language exchange project in Colombia and occasionaly teach conversational English online.I believe learning a new language not only opens new doors to different people and cultures but develops greater communication skills in general.

I enjoy meeting people from all walks of life, and I am willing to have a go at almost anything! I love all types of foods, can cook for myself and prepare sandwiches salads etc.for others. I prefer not to be solely responsible for cooking for others as its not my strong suit but I'm always happy to help with preparation and washing up! I think I am friendly, kind and pacient. I have been taking care of my grandmother for the last couple of years so have some experience of elderly care and companionship and all routine house tasks-chores. Mostly I just would like to make a positive contribution somewhere in exchange for some time in nature and the sun.
