Description
Hello! I'm currently on a 2 year trip across Canada. After finishing my degree and working to save up some funds I finally decided to take the leap and go travelling. Aside from diving into the endless breath-taking nature and rich culture Canada has to offer I'm hoping to meet lots of new friends along the way! I'm on my 4th Workaway of the trip and have loved every minute of it. I can't wait to keep seeing new areas and meeting new people.

DIY - I've always been hands on in home decorating throughout my younger and adult life. Experienced wall painting with great attention to detail i.e. the paint will only go where its meant to be! Lots of experience in general maintenance of old properties and large outdoor spaces i.e. sweeping garden debris, weeding, cutting overgrown bushes.

Sociable - I love meeting new people and sharing new experiences

Bar and Hospitality - Experience with seasonal work in hosting large corporate events and serving big groups. Great at communicating with new people and making them feel welcome. I would attend to guests and take drink orders, making sure they felt looked after. It was also crucial to use good communication skills with the rest of the team to keep a steady work flow.

Barista trained - I have been fully trained to make barista style coffee to a high standard. I can make a really good Latte!

Charity/fundraising - I recently ran the Great North Run half marathon for Children's cancer north and raised over £600, which gave me some valuable experience in fundraising.

Ryan continued our streak of amazing Workawayers. We had a huge ice storm over the winter that left our property covered in broken branches. It was the worst we'd ever seen and the cleanup was an enormous task. Ryan got right to it and for two weeks took load after load of branches down to our burning pit. Ryan was a very easy going young man that got tasks done. When I was not around he followed lists as I said I would do in my posting. He painted, stacked bricks, help disassemble an old deck and add some fencing. Workawaying with Manja and Al was my first experience and it couldn't have started any better. I felt at home as soon as I arrived as they were both so welcoming and friendly. They have a lovely house and Al is a wonderful cook! Both were extremely accommodating in helping me explore the area and learn about what it's like to be a local!
