Description

Having just qualified as a teacher and had two years in the classroom, I am looking to have an adventure and discover the world! I love being in new places, meeting new people and the idea of slow travel: having time to experience a place and get to know local people rather than just move through it. I am particularly interested in the environment and it is my dream to one day run a residential centre for school groups to help young people understand the value and beauty of nature in order to protect it. I can't wait to travel and would love to do some workaway stays so that I can feel connected to the places that I travel to and meet some great people along the way.

I am a qualified teacher so have lots of experience working with young people, am organised and a strong communicator. I love being creative and often paint and draw in my spare time. I am active and love being outdoors - not afraid to get my hands dirty and very keen to understand local ecosystems and conservation projects. I enjoy cooking, and have had cleaning jobs in the past too. I am really hard-working and passionate and can promise that I will always approach any project with enthusiasm and commitment! I really enjoy feeling part of a team and working with others and an open mind towards a shared goal.

What else ...

I love painting, drawing and writing - one day, I would love to write and illustrate a children's book about the environment. I play netball and enjoy being active. I also love animals and have lots of experience with dogs and horses in particular but am very comfortable around most animals. As well as being very keen to meet new people and socialise, I do also enjoy reading and am comfortable in my own company too.
