Description
We’re a young couple from the UK who are currently 10 months in to a year-long travelling adventure. We’ve always loved going to new places to experience different cultures, explore fresh landscapes and meet new people but the industries we worked in hadn’t permit us to take a great deal of time off. As a result, by the time we reached our late 20s, we’d developed an ‘itch’ we could no longer ignore. At the end of 2024, we decided to ‘scratch’ it. We left our jobs, packed our bags and set off around the world…
We’ve had an unforgettable experience over the last 10 months and we’ve especially loved spending so much time in nature. We’ve realised we’re at our happiest when we’re hiking in the mountains, trekking through a jungle or snorkelling/scuba diving in the sea.
We’re now keen to end our journey with a workaway, staying somewhere for a few weeks and doing something to support the people/community we are staying with/in. We are sociable people so this opportunity really appeals to us. We’re also keen to get involved an eco / permaculture / sustainable project, in the hope we can use what we learn to develop our own project once back home.
In terms of who we are as people, we’re a friendly, active, fun-loving couple, who are ready to get stuck in. We’re not experts in construction or DIY but we have a hardworking, ‘can do’ attitude and would be dedicated helpers to anyone welcoming us into their home.
