ENGLISH
We are Ren and Ruth, approaching 51 and embarking on the experience of our lifetimes. During 2025 we aim to find out how we wish to live the rest of our lives. It's time to fill our hearts, souls, bodies and minds with rich and varied new experiences, to move away from the financial demands of living in the UK and to truly LIVE our lives to their fullest potential, by giving and receiving 'more' - not in the currency of money but the valuable assets of giving and living.

What we can give to you, our host - honesty, resilience, commitment, flexibility, genuinely hardworking with a huge desire to expand our skills and share ours. We are easy going, will try anything (at least once), keen to learn, and are respectful of our own, yours and the global environment. We are physically capable and fit, have active minds and passions for all things new. We are sociable, open hearted and love to be involved - just don't ask Ruth to sing!

What we would like in return - for you to show / tell us what you need from us, to share your way of living, your culture, your passions, your challenges. To be treated like your brother / sister (on the assumption that you like them), knowing that we are with you to truly get stuck in like family would. If we accidently 'make a mistake', we would want to know so that we can fix it.

Our journey is going to take us across lots of South America. Our basic route is inspired by a few destinations we would like to see, however the real and true objective of our trip is to feel all the feelings, to experience different ways of living ,to enrich our lives and hope that we can enrich yours.

Nuestro viaje nos llevará por muchos lugares de Sudamérica. Nuestra ruta básica está inspirada en algunos destinos que nos gustaría ver, sin embargo, el objetivo real y verdadero de nuestro viaje es sentir todas las emociones, experimentar diferentes formas de vida, enriquecer nuestras vidas y esperamos poder enriquecer las suyas.

We both grew up in the hospitality industry, from 'family run' to 'high end luxury' - so we know the meaning of lots of hard varied work, attention to detail, getting on with what needs doing and how great customer service skills run through all aspects of life.

I (Ren) have worked in IT sales for many years - so if you need a spreadsheet creating or data tracking, I'm your guy. Separate to that I love to grow our own chilies and tomatoes - would like to grow more, but our little patio doesn't have the space. A few months ago my usual working path took a sudden unplanned change, I didn't want to sit around, so have spent that time prior to our trip working for the local council's maintenance team - learning lots of manual skills. My greatest ability is my huge desire to be 'better'.

I (Ruth) organize community events, ranging from 1,000 - 20,000+ attendees. Which requires me to be highly organized, ensure the best value for money, coordinate and inspire a team of volunteers, responsible for all health and safety on site, as well as working closely with local traders and entertainers ensuring we support our local community and economy. I have experience in social media and copy writing. I am also a keen and passionate cook - with one essential ingredient needed for every single dish I prepare - LOVE - all food tastes better when it is cooked with love.
