Hi, I'm Mark, I'm a musician that's currently spending my time traveling around Canada on a 2 year work VISA. I've been playing in a band for the past 15 years and am looking for a change in scenery whilst I write the bulk of the music for the next record whilst on the move. I am very easy going, absolutely love the outdoors and my heart is happiest when i'm remote, around nature, and in new places around new people.
I love learning new skills, I love a unique and quirky way of life and sharing life stories with new people. I love to cook//listen to records and travel the world solo or with my band!
These things make me happy I guess is the answer to your question.Interests

More details about your skills
I have worked at many different workaways now over the last few years, with varying types of jobs. I have knowledge and skills with chainsaws, wood chopping, drills, sanding, painting etc.
I also have experience with child care.
I have dedicated my life to music but i've picked up odd jobs over the years.
Given the climate of the music industry we are all becoming more and more independent as artists. As well as being the songwriter and front man I am essentially the band's tour manager, driver, accountant, manager day to day and whilst on tour so I've become a bit of a jack all trades.
When I'm at home between touring I'm either working in local bars or I pick up work driving cars around the country and dropping them off to dealers. I've driven all over the world for 18 years now, genuinely love driving and consider myself comfortable in all vehicles and conditions.
I grew up in the countryside around all sorts of pets, so i'm very good with animals. My mum used to teach reception at my local school and I always used to help her out with the kids, so i'm great with children. I really love being outdoors, have no problem getting my hands dirty and ultimately just like to help out.
After years and years of selling our own merchandise after shows, I think I'm really good in a face to face environment meeting and dealing with new customers in whatever setting that might be - hotels / cafes / bars etc etc
I'm a very clean person, and a quick learner.Age

What else ...
I love running long, long distances. I love a proper hike and a good country pub. Communal meals. Listening to records with a glass of wine and a good book. But also I totally appreciate my own time and am a very independent person.

Pat & Emilia are such lovely people. So easy to get along with. My work was varied, from turning over their place, to sanding and staining decking to painting chairs. They were more than happy for me to make my own schedule when I was by myself and I… read more

It was my first Workaway and I highly doubt i'd have an experience quite like it ever again.
The location is so idyllic, I will miss walking the dog every morning on the beach with their two cats, chickens and host of other wildlife following close by. There are… read more
