Description
Hi there! I’m Raphaël, a 20 year old student from Tours and Rennes, France.
If I had to describe myself in one word, it would be curious. Learning is my main drive in life. I’m always looking to "unlock" new skills and knowledge, no matter the field. I’m a calm and social person who genuinely enjoys meeting new people and sharing experiences.
I am currently in my third year of a Biology degree, specializing in ecology, environment, and animal behavior. As you might guess, I’m fascinated by nature and how it works. When I’m not studying, you’ll probably find me rock climbing, hiking, or busy in the kitchen cooking for friends.
I’m joining Workaway because I want to experience life to the fullest and grow as a person. I’m eager to discover new cultures and learn about life in general. When it comes to tasks, I have no limits! I’m willing to try everything and help out with whatever you need. My only "boundary" is what I haven't had the chance to learn yet, and I can’t wait to fix that with your help.
Regarding languages, I’ll be honest: I’m not the best yet, but I’m very motivated to improve! I really want to practice my English and I’m also looking to pick up Italian again. I studied it when I was younger and have traveled to Italy five times. I’ve always loved the culture, and I’m excited to get back to a good level through daily practice and immersion.
Looking forward to meeting you and helping out with your projects!

More details about your skills
As a 3rd-year Biology student, I have a solid background in ecology and animal behavior. My studies and fieldwork have given me specific knowledge in ornithology, particularly in bird identification. I am comfortable in natural environments and can contribute to conservation projects or wildlife monitoring.
I have a natural interest in understanding how things work, which makes me versatile and a fast learner. Among my manual hobbies, I also know how to use a sewing machine (sewing), a skill I’ve acquired for personal projects.
Thanks to rock climbing and hiking, I am physically fit and enjoy manual labor. I am meticulous and observant, qualities I’ve developed through my scientific training. I am always ready to pick up a tool and learn a new craft or task.
I enjoy cooking healthy meals and I’m happy to share some French recipes. I am organized and ready to help with any daily chores to ensure everything runs smoothly.
