  • Description

I left my 9-to-5 in Toronto over a year ago to travel solo, and what was meant to be six months turned into a full-time adventure. I’ve been living in Canada for the past five years, a journey that has shaped how I move through the world. Born in Kerala, India, I grew up surrounded by mountains and nature, learning the value of hard work and adaptability early on.
Along the way, I’ve worked a wide range of jobs—from carpentry and construction to lobster fishing and gardening. Out of everything, what I’ve loved most is cooking, especially creating my own cuisine and sharing it with others. I’m still exploring what I truly want to do with my life, but I know I’m someone who’s always ready to lend a hand and deeply curious to learn new things.
Through Workaway, I’ve been able to travel at my own pace, connect with locals, work alongside them, and stay with several hosts. To all my hosts—past and future—I’m genuinely happy to help with whatever work you have at your place, whether it’s hands-on projects, daily tasks, or learning something completely new. Many of these connections have stayed alive, mostly through social media, and they’ve become an important part of my journey.
I’ve explored Canada from east to west through Workaways, endurance sports, and long stretches of intentional travel, sometimes pausing to race or push my limits. Right now, I’m on Vancouver Island at Mount Washington, with plans to head north for tree planting, the Yukon, the Northwest Territories, and eventually Mexico. At my core, I enjoy connecting with kind, like-minded people who want to experience the world at their own pace—no rush, just curiosity, movement, and time spent in nature. One of the best parts of traveling is meeting new people, and if you’re around where I am and share similar interests, feel free to reach out. I’m always open to connecting with people who want to explore this beautiful world intentionally and with a sense of adventure.

More details about my language interests
I’ve always dreamed of learning French, but I never found the time to fully pursue it. I’m genuinely excited to learn from anyone who can help me speak, read, and write in French, and I’m eager to immerse myself in the process. Your guidance would mean a lot to me, and I’m dedicated to practicing and improving with every lesson!

  • More details about your skills

I may not be an expert in one area, but my life experiences have made me resourceful, adaptable, and eager to learn. Growing up in India, I worked with the soil—ploughing, planting trees, growing vegetables, and caring for hens and pets. Over time, I picked up practical skills too, like repairing fans, fixing pipes, resolving leaks, and even attempting motor pump repairs.
During my Workaway journey in Canada, I expanded on this by helping on farms, driving tractors and Kubotas, assisting with building rooms, trying carpentry and drywall work, and even looking after ponies. I also had the chance to look after kids for a family, which taught me patience, responsibility, and flexibility. These hands-on experiences gave me confidence in tackling all kinds of tasks.
Professionally, I have a background in Human Resources with over four years of experience, where I developed strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Whether it’s farm work, building projects, childcare, animal care, or general help, I’m always ready to lend a hand and learn something new.

  • What else ...

I'm not too into indoor games, but I do enjoy spending time with friends playing UNO at night. Mostly, I prefer being active outdoors—whether it's running, hiking, kayaking, or cycling. I love being outside and staying active rather than sitting at home.
