We have enthusiasm in abundance! We are friendly, follow instructions well and don't mind manual labour and cleaning animal cages. We find the process very relaxing as we love to be amongst nature and find the experience grounding and like to participate with shelters that help with animals. We are keen animal lovers and have worked in the following animal rescue centres around the world:
- Twice volunteered at Hessilhead Wildlife Rescue Centre in Scotland, UK working in a hedgehog hospital weighing hedgehogs daily and cleaning their cages, helping with a deer rescue, releasing a fox back into the wild and cleaning small animal cages, birds, and also helping in the Swan hospital
- Volunteered at Sidlesham Wildlife rescue every Saturday cleaning out cages for birds, ducks, hedgehogs, squirrels
- Twice volunteered at a vegan animal sanctuary in Cambridge, cleaning out the pigs and chickens
- Volunteered weekly at a cat sanctuary cleaning out their cages
- Volunteered at another vegan animal sanctuary in Berlin, included cleaning out sheep and chicken enclosures
- Volunteered in Lisbon at another vegan animal sanctuary with manual labour and helping to clean out rescued donkeys, pigs, ducks and geese
- Worked in South Africa on a conservation project with lions, meet cats and giraffes
- Volunteered at a horse sanctuary in the UK cleaning out stables
- Volunteered for a dog rescue charity in Spain
- Volunteered for the Cinnamon Trust where you walk dogs for people who are elderly, infirm or have terminal diseases so that the dogs can stay with their owners for as long as possible.

What else ...
We are keen travellers and love nothing more to host fellow travellers in the official Couchsurfing platform where we have hosted in excess of 180 people (for free!). We cook delicious food and welcome fellow adventurers into our homes for a night (or three!) and in exchange they bring their travel tales and together we share great food and swap adventure stories! We have learnt so much about the world this way!

Teaching me about apps and a different communication style. We went swimming together, and investigated the local markets . Bev loves working outdoors and really got stuck into it, she was a massive help. I can hardly wait to see her again in England when i go over.
