  • Description

Hey there! I'm 42, Argentinian, and a long time traveler. I've been "on the road" since I m 24. I had a big initiation trip going from Argentina up to Mexico hitchhiking and then going back; I've also traveled on a bicycle, and now, since a year ago, I'm on an RV, which I transformed into a Nomadic Library/ Second hand bookshop.
I had always lived on handcraft books I wrote myself; edited, and then went into bars, cafes, restaurants, proposing alternative places for reading and eventually selling. Did well. I like writing poetry, short stories and journals with my adventures while traveling.
After almost 10 years of doing this, I changed to music and theater plays with a girl companion I used to have, and we traveled for a while basking and performing in schools, independent theaters, and everywhere we could!
Right now I'm with this project (you could take a look at in @laerrantelibrosalvolante) where I look forward to promote literature, specially, where is not so popular, in latinamerica that means outside the cities. I designed a few workshops that focuses in reading and writing.
So, I like reading. duh. I also enjoy playing guitar, dancing, nature in all it s ways; I love hiking, swimming. I practice Yoga and Vipassana Meditation, I m vegetarian. I like cooking, sprouting, fermenting...
I travel with the most lovely dog, his name is Guero and he's incredible. Understands how someone should behave while being always a foreigner , never get s into fights, is very private while he "goes", very friendly and, very important for me, never barks! ALso he has some looks; you'll see in a picture how much he seems to be a teddy bear.

Yes I think all of our thoughts are made of language. The more words we know, expressions, etc, is A way (not the only ones, of course) to expand our being, our feelings, and our view of the world. That's why I dedicated my whole life to promoting reading!

  • More details about your skills

As a traveler, I've learned many different things. I'm pretty curious and quite a handy man. I've worked with tools and heavy machinery. With wood, concrete, and permaculture (chainsaw, axe, etc.) I'm good at learning what a host needs and trying to fulfill it. I have lots of experience living in someone else's home, so I ask a lot before doing things. Likewise, I know how to propose ideas without being pushy... I can follow orders and also command teams. Work alone or in teams. I know how to be silent but also can be very talkative.
I love teaching English and/ or Spanish. I have experience doing so.
I m good at fixing stuff. I m interested in heating systems, in dry toilets.
Children give me the most incomparable joy. I just think they are our teachers; I love spending time with them, either playing, taking care of them, or having them around.
In vegetable gardens is where I feel more comfy and useful, usually. I have a good relationship with plants; I honor them; but also understand that weeding is necessary (unless you're a Fukuoka fan). I know how to seed, plant, transplant, water them, mulch, harvest... and I m keen to learn more; there are so many plants I've never dealt with....
please don t get the idea that I'm bragging, or even that I m a pro at everything I've listed; I would like for my hosts to know I m used to work, like, really work. I m not a tourist trying to save a buck, or I would be freaked out if the task was to shovel all day; I know I can provide good work, so then I m also expecting good payment.
Not so long ago I read a host profile stating, "You could stay at home for free" No way jose, this is an exchange of energies. I love working like this and not for money; for me, it's a lifestyle.
