    **See Skills for more info!**

Hi! I’m Pieterpaul (PP), a tech enthusiast from the Netherlands. I’m passionate about problem-solving, learning new skills, and teaching others. I’ve recently dropped out of university to pursue my biggest adventure yet: converting a van into a sustainable, mobile home. I’m looking for a Workaway opportunity to work on my van in my spare time and contributing to projects in a sunny environment.

I am a hard worker and learn fast. I love learning new things and I just started my biggest learning journey yet I think:) I dropped out last summer and bought a van! A Opel Movano 2015 H2L2 bi turbo! It has 165 horsepower and is less than 5,5 meters long. I am trying to use sustainable tools and materials for my conversion.

More general information. I am originally from Barneveld, Netherlands. I have 3 siblings and a dog at home. For most of my life I've had a cat but since I moved out I don't have a say anymore and my lil brother wanted a dog(which I love:)).

I dropped out because I felt I could be doing more with my energy. I am very interested in technology and I felt comfortable knowing that a lot of companies in this field look at experience more than diplomas. This is why I will do many projects in my free time, which people are free to join if they are interested!

I know the van life isn't the most sustainable lifestyle but I allowed it to myself because I know it will teach me a lot. I am not planning on doing this my whole life

I go to the gym regularly but I always feel like I could be using that energy towards something useful so that's why I love workaways:)

  • More details about your skills

I studied at the University of Twente, where I studied advanced technology, which touches most of the parts of physics and engineering.

I studied Engineering and ICT(programming) for a year each before that study.

I lived on a farm for 4 years when I was younger where I always was running after my uncle and grandpa. I learned a lot about farming, technology, powertools and general upkeep.

I have worked at a tapas restaurant for 2 summers full time in the kitchen. The kitchen was on the top floor and there were 3 floors beneath that, and I had to manage where which dish went by the elevator next to cooking as well. I learned some great skills there.

I am very eager to learn new skills and will be forever grateful to you for whatever you are able to teach me:)

Next to that, I was in the national Dutch Under 21 lacrosse team. We went to Ireland for the world championship where we placed 12th out of 24 which for a small country like ours was really impressive! I was a defender and absolutely loved playing with those guys.
