  • Description

Grew up with guns and horses on a farm in South Africa :). So have always enjoyed the countryside.
Have also lived and worked in the US, France, the UK, and am now in Belgium, in the French part. Have been in the Netherlands and Germany so far.

They mentioned to say here what keeps us going, That has to be my faith in my Creator, where there is great peace to be found.

I have a Dutch passport through my grandfather, and my mother. Set off in the Netherlands and thought since I speak Afrikaans, it would take only 3 months to be fluent. But realised it would take quite a bit longer, so will be heading off to Ireland eventually, to start work again.

Am pretty good with my hands, so can fix and build just about anything. Have built a grandfather clock in high school, and have done various work in the building industry, steel fabrication, woodwork/capentry etc.
Would like to stay with people to help them with their projects, like building work, carpentry, maintenance etc., but am happy to help with your other requirements.
And then explore the area with a bicycle etc., in my free time.

Have been working in IT support before, and for the last 10 years as a CAD designer, doing various kind of work in the architectural and construction industry.
I am a friendly guy who likes to chat, but I am also quite happy with my own company. I don't watch TV and not a couch potatoe.

I have been making it a study to find out how the world really works, and about health, how the body actually functions, and various other subjects.
Am tidy, punctual and honest and have always made a success of whatever venture I have taken on, from managing a backpackers and being the handyman, to working on a large farm in the US, using large machinery to IT support, and a CAD designer.
Don't have a car here, so public transport and cycling for me.
I do not smoke, no drugs of any kind, and I hardly drink any alcohol, other than occasional organic beer or wine.
Hope to hear back from you guys.

I have always had a high mechanical aptitude. Making and breaking things, since I could walk :).

I can do woodwork/capentry, leather work, steelwork etc.
Have worked as a metal fabricator. Made a grandfather clock in school. I had my own woodwork machinery and always have a couple of basic tool sets handy. A drill, grinder, Dremel machine or similar, basic leather tools, wrench sets etc.
I have worked in IT support, so have a good understanding of computers. Have built my own PC's including a proper watercooled workstation.
