Hey everyone, I'm Pia:)

Since October I have been studying forestry in Freiburg, a beautiful city in the south of Germany. In my semester holidays I would love to spend some time outside the city and gain some practical experience. To get to know me better, here are some facts about me:
I love everything that has to do with nature, mountains, the sea or animals. I study forestry to learn more about the forest ecosystem and how we can protect it. In my semester holidays I want to do some physical work and stay on a farm instead of studying at UNI all day. I am really hard working and willing to learn from the hosts. In exchange I can share some knowledge about forestry.
Besides that, I am really open minded and love to meet new people all around the world. I do a lot of sport like climbing, running or yoga. I also like to be creative and to make music.
For me, workaway is not just a way of travelling cheap, it is more about exchanging knowledge, connect all over the world and have a great time together.

I have already tried out many different mini-jobs to earn a little pocket money besides school. I teached English in French, I helped older people from may village with their daily tasks and I delivered newspaper. Since one year I'm working in a pizza restaurant. So i have experience in the service sector. Sometimes I also have to help out in the kitchen of the restaurant. In Nicaragua i worked in a hostel for 5 weeks, i helped at the bar, organized volleyball tournaments and I did baby turtle releases.

My family and I have a big garden where we grow our own vegetable. I like working outside and help out in gardens or farms. I also want to learn everthing about permaculture. If you need help with your garden or on the farm, please contact me!

My Hobby are Yoga, swimming and bouldering. I did a surf school last summer. It was so much fun so i hope will surf a lot in Central america. And I'm really open for every kind of adventure.
I can also play the guitar. Hopefully I find some people who make some music with me.
