¡Hola! Soy Phoebe y viajaré por Sudamérica desde diciembre ('23) hasta mayo ('24).

En 2018, viajé por Canadá y Estados Unidos Couchsurfing y me encantó la experiencia de pasar el rato con lugareños y aprender más sobre el país que estaba visitando. Quiero usar WorkAway esta vez porque quiero pasar más tiempo en cada lugar y me encanta la idea de ensuciarme las manos trabajando en granjas, barcos y al aire libre.

Mis pasatiempos son:
- búlder/escalada en roca
- lectura (historia, fantasía, historia, clásicos)
- caminatas de un día y caminatas nocturnas

Hi! I'm Phoebe and I'll be travelling South America from December ('23) until May ('24).

Back in 2018, I travelled around Canada and the USA using Couchsurfing and loved the experience of hanging out with locals and learning more about the country I was visiting. I want to use WorkAway this time since I want to spend more time in each place and I love the idea of getting my hands dirty working on farms, boats, and in the great outdoors.

Terminé mi carrera de derecho en 2020 y durante los últimos 10 años he trabajado en comercio minorista, hotelería, trabajo legal, investigación, análisis de negocios y desarrollo de TI. También paso tiempo en la granja de alpacas de mi tía, por lo que también tengo algo de experiencia ayudando con el trabajo agrícola. También pasé una semana navegando en 2019, así que sé lo que es estar en un barco, pero definitivamente me vendría bien un repaso sobre viradas y trasluchadas.

Describiría mi actitud como amigable, curiosa, resiliente y diligente. La forma en que trabajo se refleja en mí, así que quiero asegurarme de hacer un buen trabajo. Hago preguntas para comprender mejor las tareas y aprender haciendo. Trabajo bien bajo presión, manteniendo la calma y la cabeza fría. Fuera del horario laboral, me gusta charlar, conocer gente y explorar el área local.

I finished my law degree in 2020 and over the last 10 years, I have worked in retail, hospitality, legal work, research, business analysis, and IT development. I also spend time at my Aunt's alpaca farm so I also have some experience in helping out with farmwork. I also spent a week sailing in 2019 so I know what it's like to be on a boat but could definitely use a refresher on tacking and gybing.

I would describe my attitude as friendly, curious, resilient and diligent. How I work reflects on me so I want to make sure I do a good job. I ask questions to understand tasks better and learn through doing. I work well under pressure, staying calm and keeping a cool head. Outside work hours, I like chatting and getting to know people and exploring the local area.
