  • Description

    Hi there! :)

I'm a physiotherapist from Denmark and I'm taking a break from the '9-5 life' to enjoy travelling and surfing. In general I'm very down to earth, calm, optimistic, and open minded. I enjoy being active, meeting people, and going on new adventures. At home I'm very active either kitesurfing, doing yoga, bouldering, skating, or just spending time in nature or with family and friends.
I enjoy teaching yoga and teaching watersports. During the summer in Denmark I work as a SUP and surf instructor for a surf school who specializes in making courses for young people with disabilities. It makes me really happy to get to help people experiencing the same love for the ocean as I've.
For the past 7 years I've been teaching yoga- both around the world in surf camps in Peru, Nicaragua and El Salvador, and also at home in Denmark. When teaching yoga, I combine creative sequencing with in-depth anatomy knowledge from physiotherapy to adapt classes and connect with students of all levels.

Every time I get the chance I love to go abroad to travel and to volunteer/work (I'm a big fan of skipping the Danish winter). I like to stay longer in the same place which is why I'm looking for volunteer options. My first volunteer experience was at a surf camp in Australia which is where I got hooked on surfing! So hooked that I ended up staying a whole year in Australia and I now go surfing in Denmark in winter when the water temperature is 5 degrees (maybe I'm a little bit of a viking :).
What I love about traveling is meeting new people, learning about different cultures and making friendships all over the world.
I'm excited to see what the future brings and I believe there are so many places to see and people to meet. I'd say that I'm an easy learner and I'm open to giving a lot of different types of work/help a try :)

  • More details about your skills

I'm a physiotherapist and a yoga teacher! I've done my RYT-200 hours yoga teacher training and I've been teaching yoga for 7 years now.

As a physiotherapist I've gained experienced working with a lot of different kind of people and I'm passionate about helping people. I'm used to communicating and teaching at a professional level.

I also have experience working in the hospitality industry as I've worked a ski season at a hotel in France which included waitressing, bartending and being a social host.

While traveling I've done a few different kinds of volunteer work like cleaning, doing dishes, laundry, being a social host and doing reception work. I've also done a lot of random jobs like picking blueberries in Australia, scrubbing toilets at a ski resort in France and digging nests for baby turtles in El Salvador- so I'm always up for a new challenge :)
