My next destination:
New Zealand - from Jan 2025 until May 2025 View allDescription
Hello!
I am from a small mountain town in British Columbia, Canada. I have recently started backpacking in New Zealand, and my general goals for traveling are to live in the moment and allow my intuition to be my guide. This way of living has already led me to have such amazing experiences here in NZ. I look forward to continuing this adventure and seeing where it takes me.
Growing up surrounded by the beauty and wisdom of nature has led me to believe in spirituality. Through meditation, yoga, writing, music, and travelling, I am eager to continue exploring my true self and how I can give back to the world.
I would describe myself as driven, compassionate and empathetic, open-minded, and creative. I find fulfillment in communicating, especially with being vulnerable and connecting deeply with others.Interests

More details about your skills
I recently completed a 21 day outdoor education course called "OutwardBound."
In this course, I learned how to work within a group of 14 people, which meant taking initiative, being a team player by supporting and pushing my peers, and being adaptable to a fast paced and unpredictable environment.
I learned various skills such as:
Compass and map navigation through the bush.
Many different activities, including but not limited to, rock climbing with a blindfold, coasteering, sailing, completing a half marathon, and a 3 day tramp through difficult terrain.
The main take away from this experience was learning how to accept and be comfortable with the discomfort of being pushed to my limits.
4 years of experience in restaurants; washing dishes, prepping food, "slingin' za's"(making pizzas), working front of house - taking orders, hosting, bussing tables, etc.
8 months of experience working with a professional timber framer/carpenter. Which included learning to use various tools, taking precise measurements, thinking outside the box to problem solve, and regrettably putting my body in extremely awkward positions. Together, we built a timber frame shed carport, fully renovated a basement suite, and did the odd maintenance jobs.
Volunteer experience at a farmstay. The work required gardening - pulling weeds and prepping soil, harvesting, feeding and looking after cats, fish, goats, sheep, and chickens, and the general maintenance of a farmstead.
I am very attentive when receiving instructions, and I find value in having good work ethic. I can learn new skills very quickly with confidence and attention to detail. All while maintaining a good attitude.Age
