Hi, hola, and bonjour. My name is Daniel and I am from a small city near Chicago. I have many different interests like playing guitar, piano, writing, reading, cooking, learning French, traveling, and learning. What really defines me is that I love to learn new things. Whether that is discovering a new place or studying a new skill. I hope to keep growing as a person by traveling and learning. When I am able to accomplish these two tasks I feel happy and most importantly alive. I hope to travel to Alaska this summer :)

I am a certified high school English teacher for the state of Illinois. Therefore, I can help with editing and revising papers for a variety of subjects. I have experience teaching younger kids and teenagers in subjects like English, Spanish, history, and math. Additionally, when I was in college I had various computer jobs for my universities so I am able to fix a variety of computer and printer issues with both Mac and PC. I also have experience with Adobe illustrator and photoshop.
I have experience working and living in a hostel in Flagstaff, Arizona. I also don’t mind getting dirty I have had many working-class jobs that involved mowing lawns, laying mulch, cleaning hostels/hotel rooms, cashiering, and cleaning dishes. I like to think I have an immigrant mentality lol

I had a great experience in this Workaway. Redouane taught me how to make tajine, taught me some Arabic, and more about Morocco’s interesting culture. We also had some amazing hikes. We enjoyed having Daniel volunteer with us. He was on time and completed tasks that were needed throughout the hostel. He was social with guests and made them feel welcomed. He was also clean and organized and made lasting friendships with guests and co-workers.

I loved my time at this hostel. Ole was very accommodating when I got a job at a local restaurant. So I was able to work at the hostel and at the restaurant during the same days.
