Hi there, I’m Nora, a passionate recruiter and career advisor who has been gradually shifting toward a more location-independent lifestyle. I really enjoy working with people, but I’m equally drawn to experiences that take me out of routine and into new places, cultures, and ways of living.

Travel has become an important part of how I reset and reconnect with myself. I spent a month in Sicily last year and completely fell in love with the island: the rhythm of life, the people, the sea, the nature. Since then, I’ve been looking for more meaningful ways to travel, not just as a visitor, but by actually being part of a place for a while.

I’m naturally curious and practical, and I enjoy hands-on work where I can contribute and see real progress over time. I adapt easily to different situations and feel comfortable both working independently and sharing daily life with others. I value clear communication, mutual respect, and a relaxed but responsible way of living together.

I’m open-minded, quick to learn, and happy to help wherever needed, especially when there’s a sense of cooperation and shared purpose.

Since this would be my first Workaway experience, I don’t yet have platform reviews, but I can share a reference from a previous host from Sicily on request.

I’m ideally looking for stays of at least 2 weeks, with some flexibility depending on the fit.

I have a professional background in recruitment and career advising, which means I’m very comfortable communicating with different people, staying organized and managing multiple moving parts at once. I’m used to working independently, adapting quickly, and figuring things out as I go when needed.

Alongside this, I also have hands-on caretaking experience. I’ve worked as an au pair three times, which gave me a very real-life education in childcare, daily household routines, and navigating the beautiful chaos of shared family life. It also taught me how to stay flexible, helpful, and grounded in environments where no two days look the same.

During these cultural exchanges, I also taught English and ran lessons for children of different ages ,from playful, beginner-style learning to more structured sessions. Teaching English has been a long-running side activity for me over the years, and I’ve worked with children, teenagers, and adults in both formal and informal settings.

On a more everyday level, I’m also the unofficial dog sitter in my friend group, so I’m very comfortable around dogs and used to the responsibility of feeding, walking, and keeping them company.

While I don’t come from a professional trade background, I’m practical, hands-on, and quick to learn. I’ve helped with painting and basic household or space-related projects before, and I enjoy being involved in work where you can clearly see progress over time.

Overall, I’m reliable, easy to communicate with, and comfortable both taking initiative and following guidance. I adapt well to shared living situations and value a good balance of independence, cooperation, and a relaxed atmosphere.
