  • Description

I have been working on farms for the past few years through different work trades on beautiful Maui and the mainland U.S., and I've loved every minute of it.

I've been focused on learning what I can do with my hands and with the environment around me, and so I've grown very interested in permaculture farming and building.

I would love to be able to grow food anywhere in the world and help either an intentional community (which can be a city), or my own modest homestead.

My mission is to build a life around good food, good people and good practices keeping it all together. Simple, yes, but I don't see life needing to be more complicated than that.

In my travels I have been lucky to work with inventive farmers and builders who have made use of their land in closed loop systems and taught me valuable lessons in resourcefulness, patience and gratitude.

I want to keep the momentum of learning going and build on the knowledge that has graciously been shared with me, and to share right back.

My experience has been in market garden style farming, permaculture, regenerative production farms and small homesteads--always implementing a rotating schedule of soil-building/nourishing crops. I've spent a lot of time planting, harvesting, prepping beds, seeding and weeding.
I love working in the fields.

I have some mild experience building small structures and general handy work, but I see this as a blind spot I would very much like to shed light on.

These past few years have been a departure from my previous work in the film industry (in NY and LA) where I mostly used my mind for writing and daydreaming. I love cinema and daydreaming, but I've found that balancing the imagination inside and outside the mind is best.
In other words, I like being outside my head as much as I like being inside, but I don't want to be stuck in either for too long.

    Balance is everything.

As of late I have been exploring breathwork and yoga. I aim to train to teach both in my travels, and I can share what I have learned thus far.

My diet tends to be vegetarian, but I am comfortable eating meat that is sourced well.

Apart from cinema and farming, I have also worked in the tea industry travelling to China and Japan, and I am always happy to drink and talk tea.

And I love to bike. If you have a bicycle, I will ride it for days.

I hope we get the chance to meet soon!
