Hi everyone,
I'm Alessandro, 27 years old from Aosta. I lived and studied in London for five years until covid, just in time to graduate in Music Technology at the UWL. I moved then to Bologna and been there almost three years to pursue my passion and interests in the music scene/ industry, still I've been mostly working in hospitality.

Hello everyone. My name is Chiara. I am 28 and I come from Milan. I hold a degree in Science of Education and had worked in the social sector with people in difficulty: children, adolescents and people with disabilities. I loved music and camping; in the summer my favourite holidays were festivals. I had previously done seasonal fruit-picking and a great deal of volunteer work with cooperatives and associations. I enjoyed working in the social sector, had considerable experience with children and with people in marginal situations, and liked being in nature and doing manual work. I had been living in Bologna for few years and has been sharing houses with other people, so I was used to communal living.

We were always seeking adventures and new experiences: we were keen to be hosted, to work away and to meet new people and new places. We had both worked in hospitality and on farms, including grape and apple harvests. Thanks to Workaway, we spent a period working on a finca near Cartagena as kitchen and floor assistants in the camping restaurant, as receptionists doing check-ins and check-outs and helping with and we helped with various DIY projects. It was an incredible experience, but it ended recently and we began looking for a new placement. After a winter season in a ski lodge in the Alps, we moved to Valencia in July; through Workaway we then spent a week in Horta Norte at a rural house hosted by a young couple, where we renovated tiles, made mosaics and worked with ceramics. Our next Workaway has been in August near Benicassim where we helped a couple renovate their camper and carry out general maintenance.
We have now returned from Spain and after a seasonal job here we’re planning our next trip to a much further place this time, Tokyo.
