😁Hi! I'm Nerea and I live in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, a beautiful island in the Atlantic. I'm just starting on my first Workaway adventure. I’m taking this opportunity to escape from my routine and discover new places and people.
💜I love traveling, reading, photography, swimming, nature, hiking, and sharing with people.
🌱One of my goals is to improve my English through real-life conversation, but above all, I want to discover, connect, and get out of my comfort zone. I’m especially interested in hands-on projects like building, eco-construction, and sustainable living.
🏗 I’m a construction engineer and I’ve worked as a site supervisor, coordinating teams and projects — but I want to be clear: I’ve never actually built something with my own hands. That’s exactly why I’m here! I’d love to learn practical skills and get involved in tasks like building, painting, repairing, or gardening. Now I'm taking a break, I am studying a remote master's degree, and I've returned to studying English.

✨I'm not going sightseeing. I'm not looking for postcards, I'm looking for purpose. A place to stay for a while, learn, contribute, and meet people with different stories. If there's a desire to create, I want to be there.

🤗This is my first Workaway, but I’m enthusiastic, curious, and happy to help however I can. I’m a practical and organized person, not afraid to get my hands dirty, and I find it really satisfying to learn by doing. I can also help with everyday tasks like cleaning or cooking. I would like to feel satisfaction in building or fixing something with my own hands. I’m open to new challenges and excited to see where this journey takes me. I've also worked as a waitress for many years. I have excellent customer service skills, am very sociable, and enjoy sharing.

💪🏽I may not be an expert with tools yet, but I’m motivated, adaptable, and always bring a positive and respectful attitude to every task.
