Description
Hi!
My Name is Negien (23) and I’m planning to travel solo after finishing my Bachelor’s degree in Educational Science to take a break from life in Germany and experience something new. I’m trying to keep things low-budget since the cost of living at home has gotten quite high, and I want to explore the world in a more meaningful and simple way.
One of my biggest motivations is meeting new people and engaging in cultural exchange. I’m deeply interested in social projects, and I would love to contribute wherever I can — especially in areas involving empowerment, education, human connection, mental health, and cultural and language exchange.
My academic and personal interests lie in psychology, feminism, philosophy and sociology and everything that relates to people and their stories. I’m especially passionate about working with women, children, and refugees. But I am also just interested in meeting different souls.
I’m open, empathetic, and I truly enjoy exchanging ideas and experiences with others. I believe in the power of connection, and I’m always eager to learn from different cultures and perspectives.
Right now, I’m especially drawn to countries like Greece, Turkey, Tunisia, and Morocco — places rich in history, culture, and resilience.

More details about your skills
Thanks to my Bachelor’s degree in Education and Pedagogy, I have a strong foundation in understanding human development, learning processes, and social systems. Beyond my academic background, I also bring hands-on experience from various settings:
• I’ve taught children and worked in a children’s home, supporting them with daily activities and emotional care.
• I’ve provided homework help for kids living in a refugee shelter, which gave me valuable insight into the challenges faced by displaced families.
• I’ve worked in a café, so I’m used to working in a team, staying organized under pressure, and providing friendly customer service.
• I enjoy creative work like sewing and crocheting, and I’m happy to share or use these skills in any way
I’m a fast learner and always open to new challenges, especially when they involve connecting with people and supporting social change.

It was my first time doing workaway and it probably increased my standards by a lot. From the second I arrived I felt welcomed and comfortable. I honestly had some tears in my eyes when I was on the bus to my next destination. The farm felt like a home to me and I… read more
