Hi! I’m Nazila, 31, from Azerbaijan. A big part of my life revolves around nature, people and bringing people together. I work in sustainable tourism and rural development, particularly with mountain villages and local communities, and before that I worked with Naturefriends Azerbaijan on environmental, ecotourism and international youth projects.

I love nature, mountains, hiking, travel and community life, and I’m happy to help with practical tasks too - gardening, cooking, preparing spaces, events or anything that needs an extra pair of hands.

I’m curious, independent and sociable, and I really enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds and learning new ways of living. I speak Azerbaijani , English, Turkish, and intermediate Russian, also I’m currently learning German.

I’d love my Workaway experience to be about contributing, learning, sharing skills and becoming part of a community for a little while.

I’m moving to Germany in September 2026, and rather than experiencing my first weeks only as a student trying to organise a new life, I would love to begin them by meeting people, contributing to a community and experiencing a more local side of Germany.

I’m especially drawn to places connected with nature, sustainability, creativity and community life but mostly I’m curious about people and the different ways we choose to live.

I’m especially good at organising events, workshops and activities -planning, coordinating people, preparing spaces, coming up with creative ideas and making sure things actually happen. I’m also comfortable facilitating groups and working with people from different cultures.

I can help with photography, social media, writing, communication and creating visual content. I have experience with nature, sustainability, tourism and community projects, so I’d also be happy to contribute ideas or help develop activities around these topics.

I enjoy cooking, decorating and preparing spaces, and I’m happy to help with gardening and other hands-on tasks. I’m a quick learner and always open to trying things I haven’t done before.

I also get along really well with kids , usually more as their fun older friend than in a parental role :) I enjoy playing, talking, doing creative activities and spending time outdoors with them. And I absolutely love pets and animals, so I’m always happy to help care for them too.

And generally, if there’s a project happening, I’m the kind of person who likes to jump in and help rather than wait to be told what to do.
