  • Description

My name is Noe, and I’m originally from Uruguay. For the past few years, I’ve lived in Spain and Germany, but my journey abroad began in 2005 when I moved to Southern Chile, where I spent nearly 13 years, complemented by travels across South America and the United States.

Working in hospitality has opened countless doors for me, allowing me to develop into a versatile professional. Over the years, I’ve taken on roles as a hotel receptionist, sales associate, shop attendant, and waitress in various establishments. Later, I transitioned into managing hostels and restaurants.

One of my most fulfilling experiences was cooking in Patagonia under the "farm-to-table" philosophy—an approach I deeply enjoyed. Cooking is part of my family heritage, and since a young age, I’ve created small food-related ventures. My entrepreneurial spirit, combined with curiosity, resilience, and open-mindedness, has driven me to bring ideas to life, connect people and projects, and engage in meaningful community initiatives.

Beyond hospitality, I’ve explored permaculture, co-created a restaurant in Chile featuring local and regional products, launched a small bistro in a ski center, and developed a fair-trade design project involving rural women from the Lake District near my area.

I thrive in community-driven projects, and I’m passionate about preserving traditional cultures, discovering regional products, and listening to stories passed down through generations.

I'm reconnecting with the Workaway community as I embark on new adventures.

I'm looking forward to connecting with you!

    Saludos!
    Noe

  • More details about your skills

I'm experienced working in small and family-run hospitality establishments
I love to cook, keeping it simple and tasty. I'm all about using local stuff and making zero-waste magic in the kitchen.

I'm an outdoorsy person, always up for some hands-on work.

I'm really into small organic gardens and any DIY stuff around the house. Chaos doesn't scare me; in fact, I'm pretty good at turning it into order. I'm all in on planning events and gatherings.

Creativity runs in my veins, from revitalizing spaces to adding some personal touch. Nature is my home, and I'm mindful about using resources wisely.

  • What else ...

I'm a huge fan of cats and dogs. Also, I'm up for work and connect with farm animals - they just make life better. Music-wise, I'm into all kinds of tunes, and I'm itching to get back into playing the piano since I haven't done it in a long time. Hiking means everything; there's nothing better than spending time in nature. And when I'm not out and about, reading is a fullfill moment.
