I love travelling and taking a year out to go to SE Asia, Australia and New Zealand was one of the best things I have ever done. I love helping people to improve their English and at the moment I am teaching English to refugees where I live in the UK. I do 2 classes - one conversation and another for beginners to help with life in the UK. I enjoy tennis, walking, swimming, reading, music, film and cookery. I’ve recently done 2 long distance walks - the Camino in Spain and the Via Francigena in Sicily. It was a good feeling to complete a long walk. I’ve done some voluntary work at a language school in Morocco and some general help at a Buddhist centre in the UK. I spent a week teaching English at a school in Sri Lanka in January which was a wonderful experience.

I live in the UK. I am a trained teacher with a TEFL qualification. I have experience of teaching in Primary Schools, after school clubs, Saturday music schools and private piano teaching. I have taught English in the U.K. and abroad. I have hosted English students in my home in the Midlands.
II have 2 sons in their 20s. I speak intermediate French and can offer teaching, family cooking, administration, organising and general helping out.
