Description
Hello!
We are a small Mongolian family travelling together:
- Lisa (Sugar-Erdene Lkhagvasuren), 35 – lead teacher with 10 years experience at Mongolia’s top nomadic culture camp “Bi Mongol Hun”
- Lyla (Ariunsetgel Uchral), 9 – cheerful, book-loving, dancing little girl & junior model
- Peter (Uchral Nyambuu), my husband – currently living in New York City
From now until March 2026 we (Lisa & Lyla) are Workawaying together around Southeast Asia (Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines…).
Peter will stay in NYC for work but he is very happy to jump on a video call anytime to:
- show you New York live
- give you insider tips
- help plan your future NYC trip
- or even host you when you visit the city one day!
What we bring to your place:
- Professional & loving childcare (10+ years, 600–800 kids every summer)
- English + German lessons for kids & adults
- Japanese abacus (soroban) & brain-training classes
- Traditional Mongolian skills: dairy making, horse riding, cooking, dancing, crafts
- Delicious healthy food (Mongolian, Asian, vegan, whatever you like)
- Super clean, responsible, positive energy
Lyla makes friends in minutes and keeps children happily entertained with books, dancing and games all day.
We are extremely flexible and ready to help with anything: kids, teaching, gardening, animals, housework, social media – you name it.
We can’t wait to meet you, share our culture and create beautiful memories together in Southeast Asia!
And one day we hope to welcome you in New York with Peter too!

English: IntermediateMore details about my language interests
Yes – I love teaching languages and I’m very passionate about it! I can teach: English – I have a experience teaching children and adults (from complete beginners to intermediate) German – I studied German intensively for 6 months in Germany itself, so I can confidently teach real everyday German from zero (A0–A1–A2). I focus on practical conversation, basic grammar, and pronunciation that Germans actually use. I love working with absolute beginners! My lessons are relaxed, fun, and effective – lots of games, songs, pictures, role-plays, and simple explanations. Perfect for your kids, family members, staff, or neighbours who want to start learning German or English from scratch. I’m also very excited to learn your language (Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Khmer, etc.) while we cook, work, or play together. Language exchange, morning lessons, evening conversation practice – I’m always happy to help! 🌍

What else ...
Our family is full of dreams to travel the world, learn about the history and culture of many nations, make new friends, help people, and create unforgettable memories together. We are determined to fulfill our dream of visiting every country in the world as a family, and we are already taking small steps toward that big goal. One of those steps is joining Workaway.
We Mongolians have traditionally lived close to nature, moving nomadically, embracing an eco-friendly, waste-free, and minimalistic lifestyle. Most importantly, the world is so vast that even a lifetime would not be enough to see it all—so we are eager to begin our journey early, to meet wonderful people and to experience countless wonders along the way.
