Everything that allows us to be outdoors! We especially love the ocean, lakes and other swimming spots.

Description

We are Molly (UK) and Viggy (Sweden).

We live in the UK but have taken a year out of work to travel the world - so far we’ve been to Mexico, Belize, Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua and Costa Rica.

Viggy: I’m a chemistry teacher with experience working in forest school and also teach a course on sustainability and climate change to teenagers.

I love spending my summers in Sweden and being outdoors as much as possible. I’m hoping to find the opportunity to work outdoors and do some hard graft through Workaway.

Molly: I’m a gardening journalist with experience working in practical horticulture. I’m also on the board of directors for a local surf club Community Interest Company in Bristol.

I’d like to learn new gardening skills and spend time doing practical gardening tasks again through Workaway.

We both love cooking and food is a big part of why we like to travel, as well as meeting new people and understanding how others live.

Viggy’s skills and experience:
- Teaching / working with young people from many years spent as a teacher and as pastoral care in schools.
- Garden maintenance such as mowing, digging etc. from long summers spent in Sweden maintaining the family summer home.
- Languages: Swedish and English (fluent). French and Spanish (Intermediate). Italian (beginner).
- Sports: keen runner, cyclist, swimmer, kayaker, surfer.

Molly’s skills and experience:
- Gardening from working at a nursery potting plants , gardening at home and volunteering at Chelsea Flower Show.
- Writing, I’m a journalist and have worked at a gardening magazine for several years. This role also involved professional social media use.
- Cooking, I enjoy cooking food from all over the world. It’s one of my favourite hobbies.
- Sports: keen hiker, surfer and kayaker. Also into yoga and Pilates.
