I'm currently in Norway.

Description

Hello! I’m Mizuka from Japan. I’m 21 years old.

I’m a university student and majoring in Danish language.

This year, I’m taking a year off from university to get experience of various things, especially life in Scandinavia.

This summer, I started attending a folkehøgskole in Norway, where I am learning arts and handicrafts.

Last summer, I had the opportunity to spend one week at a folkehøjskole in Denmark, where I learned vegetarian cooking.

This is my first experience with Workaway.
The reason why I try to do Workaway is that I’d like to experience everyday life with local people in Scandinavia, which is different from life at school.
I also enjoy having conversations about cultural differences and learning from each other’s perspectives.

I love creative activities such as cooking, clay crafts, and crochet.
I have been swimming and playing softball for many years, so I also enjoy sports and staying active.
I like spending time in nature and with animals.

One of the things I can share is Japanese cooking – I would be happy to prepare Japanese dishes for you.

I am a curious, creative, and responsible person who enjoys trying new things and exploring different cultures.

I will do my best to support you and would be happy to help out at your wonderful place.
