Hi! My name is Mirjam van Dongen. I'm a 19 year old Dutch girl. I'm currently fulfilling one of many dreams, and that's traveling! After a whole year of traveling I'm planning on studying spacial design combined with arts and culture back in the Netherlands. I have a passion for art, reading, nature, meeting people and obviously traveling, but you can get me for almost anything excited! Learning new things in general is one of my favorite things to do and I'm very determined with it. I would describe myself as an creative, enthusiastic and warm person, who loves to work together with people.

I would love to learn other languages and perfect languages I already know the basics of. A wish for this year is to get better at speaking French. In my experience it's easiest learning it from another human instead of books only! I will help where I can! I have some experience in different areas, but I'm planning on learning a lot of new things.
In the past, I have worked a lot with children. I love the work an would be open to do that in the future. One of my past jobs also included cleaning houses, so I have experience with that.
My personal favorite is creating things. My hobby's at home include painting, knitting, crocheting and sewing. I love to work in a garden and almost everything nature related. I have a creative mind, so that helps me a lot with finding solutions. I'm a handy person and like to design and build things. I did a couple Workaways in the past, that included gardening, renovating and teaching English. I also recently painted a mural in the hostel I was staying in.

Hiking, running and reading are also things I really enjoy doing. Not really quality's, but maybe we have some shared interests!
