Description
Hello Workaway! My name is Katie, i am 26 and from England.
I have been travelling on and off for the past 8 years, exploring over 35 countries. Currently, you can find me somewhere in India!
I'm a bubbly, friendly girl that enjoys to meet new people and of course, to travel. I'm an outdoorsy person, who loves hiking and taking in epic views. I am very passionate about animals and have volunteered at 5 different animal sanctuaries using workaway. I have also enjoyed using workaway from many other great experiences- such as housekeeping, gardening, farming , teaching children, construction/restoration and hostel work. It's been great to get outside of my comfort zone and gain new experiences to take with me through life.

In England, I worked as a care worker caring for the elderly/disabled, where I've gained many skills and a lot of patience!
In Scotland I worked as a housekeeper and then in a resturant, working as a bartender&server.
So, I have experience in hospitality and could even make you some tasty cocktails if that's something you like!
I've got plenty of experience in customer service too.
also, I enjoy cooking and can make some great vegan food!
I am very confident with all different kinds of animals, especially dogs and cats. In the past I have volunteered at 5 different animal sanctuaries, these have all been working with street dogs/cats, helping to bring them to health, cleaning their enclosures, bathing them, giving medication and rehoming. I can help with things like lead training, socialising dogs, and also basic grooming of dogs and cats. I also have got some experience working in a dog groomers. I hold a Level 3 Diploma in Animal Mangement.
I have a TEFL certification.
