Description
Hi, I'm Mia
I'm a friendly and adeventurous solo traveler from England, travelling around Austalia between February to May.
I have just completed my degree in Psychology and am currently working as a teaching assistant with plans to move into teaching after my travels.
I am a hardworking and adaptable individual who thrives on challenges and is eager to learn new skills. I take a proactive approach to problem-solving and pride myself on being sociable and respectful.
I have a strong passion for animals, nature, and working with children. I love spending time outdoors, whether it’s planting, weeding, or learning about wildlife and sustainable land management. Caring for animals is especially important to me, and I’m always happy to take on tasks like mucking out and feeding.
I have extensive experience working with children both in and out of school settings. As a teaching assistant, I’ve supported children aged 4 to 10 in their academic, social, and emotional development. Outside of school, I’ve worked as a summer camp leader, where I enjoyed creating imaginative activities, telling stories, and planning mini-adventures to engage and inspire kids.
I’m excited to bring my enthusiasm, experience, and skills while continuing to grow and learn along the way.Interests

More details about your skills
After returning from my travels in Europe and preparing for my solo adventure in Australia, I’ve continued to develop a variety of skills and interests. I have worked as a teaching assistant and in a summer school, where I supported children aged 4-18, helping with academic development and extracurricular activities. As a result, I feel comfortable interacting with children of all ages.
Although I do not have much knowledge/skill when it comes to farm work or gardening, I am really into fitness and so am capable of hard labour and am quick at picking up new skills. I’m passionate about the outdoors, especially hiking and camping and although I haven't experienced Australians critters yet, I'm not afraid of dirty work.
My family loves to grow vegetables of their own and have a veg patch at the bottom of the garden. Though its a passion of my parents I am still learning some of the skillls, I could lend a hand if you need help in your garden.Age

What else ...
I love exploring new places and spending time in the great outdoors. Hiking is one of my favorite activities, and I’m excited to continue taking on new challenges, connecting with nature, and building on my outdoor skills.
While out in Australia, I do want to learn how to surf. Having previously unsuccessfully attempted to learn in the British sea, blaming it on the freezing water. I'm hoping that the Australian ocean will miraculously allow me to become an amazing surfer.
Though I might not have a ton of experience to offer, what I do have is a willingness to try new things.
I want to learn new ideas and have new adventuresSome more information
